Fate Of The Silver Evolve Car.

Maybe the reason they did a crappy job was b/c

they were to busy figuring out how to put 13 in tires on their

c30. if they spent the time on your car like they did on the

c30 you would have a kickass car like they said.

P.s maybe they spent all their (your) money on the c30!! lol

The fact that a car with a build of that scope and level would have a "welded" oil drain line is beyond me (unless it was carefully and properly tigged, which I doubt is the case). I don't use SS braided return lines because I am ghetto and poor, but on a car like that it shouldn't even be a question.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, hopefully you can get some closure. Would be nice to hear what Evolve has to say, but don't think we'll get that opportunity from the sounds of it.

wow, i mean i really cannot believe all of this, its amazing. with a company that is one of the largest and most noticable volvo tuners, this is sad, and angry to see. i have heard of some people getting tuner cars back from the business in not that great of shape, but when they were confronted about it, the company had no problem taking care of it for free.

i hope that matt will in the end get a great car, and hopefully evolve does not have to touch it anymore. i dont know about you, but if a company screwed me over this much, i would take everything off of it that sshowed that it was tuned by evolve, IMHO.

i hope that this issue is a eye awakening moment for that other volvo tuning company that has some of the same problems, and that someday we will have an actual variety in choosing what tuners we use as oppose to being force by bad customer service.

spence

yeah, i think MSN.com had a video about the C30's at SEMA and they asked don about how well the C30 preformed on the track....

basically he said it hasnt been driven any.

acually, that whole interview was funny.

you know that car would handle/drive horrible. Plus I doubt it even went on a dyno, got tuned, etc.

EDIT

here it is:

http://autos.msn.com/as/minishow/article.a...&s=sema2006

The fun starts at 4 minutes into the video or so

Don from Evolve confirmed he was aware of this topic on Monday of last week. I would have liked to hear the other side of this story but up to this point he has declined to comment.

Notice how Evolve hasn't said a word. There is a reason. What could it be? All this while, we have gotten one side of the information. That is not to say Matt is not being genuine. But before you go bashing, make sure you get a straight story from both sides then do your evaluation. This is what a judge does. Usually a company clams up if there is the slightest chance of litigation. And that is where this appears to be heading.

We all seem to agree that it is hard to believe that Evolve would pull something like this. Therefore I believe there is likely (but not certainly) another side to this.

i agree. however. the pictures dont lie about the workmenship and for those of us who have seen this car first hand can tell u that the quaility is very poor. I drove the car 30 miles after it arrived in PA., it was not near the performer it is claimed to be from evolve.

i am not trying to be an a** but i have seen, driven and worked on this car.

You are right. In fact the pics indicate to me that this car never made it out of the test mule stage.

A few people are saying "wait to hear both sides of the story" , but the fact that the car was beat on by mag editors without his permission is enough for me. If I was having my truck worked on at a shop, and they threw the keys to someone to beat the hell out of it. There is NO way I would pay for it. They would eat the parts/labor and I would be seeing them in court. Put yourself in his shoes. Its just not right for this to have happened. I feel for you Matt, hope everything works out.
