Because the bulbs were failing in 16 months like it was a religion and they didn't want to have to cover that

Could you please tell me the item number that says a warranty period of 18 months? As far as I know, we never had any item that promised a warranty period of 18 months.

From the feedback looks like any kit offered for sale before Nov 18th 2006 got a 18 month warranty, after that its all 14 month.

i would suggest going to sharpHid just for the customer service. ballast blew a few days ago and john had everything taken care of by dinner time. The turn around rate was amazing.

Unless your buying OEM all these kits are pretty much the same. With that said I would buy either Philips from Xenondepot or whatever was cheapest.

integra9006hid does nice kits with OEM ballasts and bulbs. He uses Denso/Koito ballasts and rebases OEM Philips 85122 bulbs.

For $280, I think you can't go wrong!

I appreciate the support man!

The other problem here is that say you do need to replace a bulb or ballast within the 14 months you will have to send it all the way back to China - about $20-$30 for shipping due to customs etc. Then you may have to pay that again to have the replacement sent back here. All in all you are looking at 4-6 weeks just to get a replacement bulb or ballast. This is the problem with many of the ebay kits.

A lot of research and testing has gone into the kits I sell and they are using components my supplier believes to be the most reliable and most up to the job of offering a life time warranty.

+1 on Support for Johns HID kit it is very well made they thought of everything. You get what you pay for here.

except I dont want a 4300k kit, I want minimum 6000k. That being said, I know Phillips does make the Ultinon 6000k bulbs, but I havnt been able to ever find them in a kit that was under $300. Any help serge?

I guess we have about a week until people start posting pics...
