TG850T5R
I just put these in on Friday, and 2 nights ago the headlight went out. I switched bulbs and ballast's to see what was bad and now I need a new ballast! I JUST GOT THESE! Anybody else have a problem like this?Well............I just got mine in and installed it today.... Install was easy but when I turned on the headlights only one was working.... I rechecked the connections & etc and sure enough one bulb is not working..... I contacted Han and see what he says.... I was really looking forward to having these on the car..... Hopefully the replacement bulbs won't take a long time to get here.
AntiHero
Try the bulb on the other side with the working ballast. Ive been around HID's for a little while now and I KNOW they are a pain in the neck to deal with sometimes! I have HID lows and fogs on the M3 and every now and again id be driving down the street and hit a bump and one of the headlights would go out. I finally figured it out that the wiring was loose and would not make a connection when I hit the bumps. You also might have a bad ballast. I just hooked mine up last night to a battery charger to see if I could get it to work on that. When I try to start it the light just flickers a few times then shuts off immediately. Ive had this problem on the M3 as well and the last time this happened it was the ballast. So just make sure you double check and make sure you order the right thing. TG850T5R
Another Update.....Kit is working just fine. There was a little problem on the wiring of my car which I fixed. Han has been VERY responsive through out this and helpful. The bulbs, ballasts & etc is working just as they should..... Overall, I am very happy camper now Up Date:Well today after work I decided to go at it again.....(for almost 2 hours of testing) Reinstalled the kit with different variations..... this time I get NOTHING! Connections are fine, fuses are fine. I highly doubt the car ('97 Galant) the kit is going into is smart enough throw any ECU errors & etc.Any ideas..... ????? Is it possible that the whole kit is faulty..... Any suggestions to get this darn thing to work???Thank You..... Double checking the wiring was the 1st thing I did...... I then unplugged the bulb from the working side and installed the faulty bulb to working sides ballast......Still nothing..... The bulb itself looks just fine but I am quite sure it is the bulb.... Unless of course there is something else you suggest that I try I will have to cough up another $35.00 for a bulb since that appears to be the fastest way to get a replacement.....Also, the email I got from them suggests that I reverse the wires...... This thing is pretty idiot proof.... How is it possible to reverse the wires..... It looks as things can only go in one way...... Kinda confused there...... And trust me I am pretty good at dealing with this kinda stuff. And one last question that I have is..... how do I test the harness that is attached to the bulbs.... May be there is something wrong with the harness....Try the bulb on the other side with the working ballast. Same deal, drill hole in the cap, plug in, mount ballast up by the sides of the bumper, fit all the cords inside without clamping any down, and turn on. What problem do you forsee? 98Silver70
well i'm pretty sure the 70 series have h1 fogs and the wiring harness is much different than an h7, just seems like it will be harder to then my h7s
