850turbo
So.. here is the story... I ordered 6000K hids... the box had hand written 6000K on it... While writing this reivew I realized the bulbs say 8000K... So I emailed my depots about this problem. He offered me a $10 store credit... So I am kinda unhappy that I paid $125 shipped for a 6000K hid kit, that I know have to add another $25 +15 shipping for the correct bulbs that I should have recieved. But its all good... very fast response, very friendly. I kinda understand mydepots point of view, but I want 6000K's. =(
Oreo931
I kinda understand mydepots point of view, but I want 6000K's. =(Why do you understand their point of view? If you ordered 6000k and they sent you 8000k, they should pay for shipping you a new set of bulbs? That sounds like bad customer service to me, unless I am not understanding the story correctly. The fault is all ours but I just want to say that i am offering a very good price here and it left me a very small margin. And i am glad to solve any problem in a way that can lead to a win-win. I hope that you can understand. BTW, please place your orders on the website. Its more reliable and the communication will be more smooth. You will get order updates and tracking numbers via email. If you purchase off eBay, you will need to specify the bulbsize and color temp. in the Message To Seller which is apt to human errors when we process them. Che'_Moderator
I must say I am impressed. I think I will be ordering a 3000k kit if it is available for my foglights. The wiring isnt as thick/hefty as John's kit, and it doesnt look as well put together, it looks like the basic chinese HID kit. For the price though, you cant beat it...Thats a 1000 dollar kit and look at the wiring it comes with. Wire insulation mass = quality
wmartinlsmith
the bulbs may have been mislabeled, they dont look too blue imho, wouldnt 8000k look more blue than said 6000's? if the box said 6000 and everything else said 6000 than the bulbs may be marked wrong? The bulb is a 8000k bulb. If you put 6000k and 8000k together, you will see that 8000k is more blue.

You cant deny that there is a difference in quality.Doubt there is. Its just a lot of kits have the insulation removed. Its the same wires. These stuff should be loomed or taped up anyways. I would be more worried about the ballasts. Johns and these kits are probably the same parts relabeled. Not like there are thousands or people making this stuff

ViperVette
Light output looks pretty impressive. Seems that for 125$ shipped, you can't really go wrong. Luckily I won't have money for mods till June. Try to keep us posted on the longterm of how they are doing.
