It's not ignorant, it is the truth. No one likes him anymore, he is doing a God aweful job in Iraq, and even Republicans interviewed before the SOTU said they didn't agree. The only ignorant ones are the ones who don't see that anyone would be better, republican or democrat. And yes, we could go into approval ratings (worst since Nixon in 74) but they are not alway accurate, but still... And I have no problem with Hilary. Only really conservative people hate her because they couldn't stand having a Vagina as a President. She wouldn't be my first choice, but I need to look more into her beliefs.

~Mike

I happen to be a conservative woman, and I don't want her as president not because she is a woman but because she is a calculating coattail riding oh yeah!. She is a disgusting human being and a disgrace to women everywhere. She stayed with filandering Billy boy so she could get right where she is now. I guarantee she knows every indisgretion he has ever had, she married him to get in the white house plain and simple. She is scarey, if she gets elected we all better put our heads between our legs and kiss our asses and our money good bye.

I'm not saying obama has my vote; but just what is your objection to a muslim president? Are you afraid he'll go jihad crazy or something nutty like that? There are plenty of average joe citizens out there who are muslims. I wonder if an anti Lieberman (he's jewish) posting would get the same amount religously biased remarks

And who are these "powers that be" ?

the board of directors for the major corporations of america who decide how much campaign money to contribute to a given canidate.

money=ability to run a campaign for presidency

It's not some grand conspiracy, but it is corrupting democracy

I'll betcha most corporations contribute fairly equally to both parties. Politicians who speak of special interest groups or lobbyists who fund campaigns or dictate public policy concerns as being the enemy by causing corruption are a bunch of liars. The United States citizen is the lobbyist. The United States citizen is the special interest group. Hopefully the United States CITIZEN is still THE VOTER! I know that use to be a requirement but today that line is getting quite blurred by those on the left.

Obama.

Who is he?

What are his qualifications to lead the United States of America in these most turbulent times?

What is his record of distinction in either his former position as an Illinois State senator or currently as a US senator.

He wrote a book. Big deal, there are lots of books written.

He appeared on Oprah!

He's a Democrat.

He's half white and half African.

He is not Hillary Clinton.

He has big ears and a toothy grin.

He's a Democrat.

He is against the war in Iraq.

He is not Hillary Clinton.

When he gives a speech it sounds like the same old one political cliche after another mumbo jumbo and the liberal media tells us he is brilliant.

He is a Democrat.

When asked a question about his inexperience he gets defensive and accusatorial and oftens winds up stumbling on his words.

He is not Hillary Clinton.

He is from the land of Lincoln.

He is a Democrat.

He states that all Americans will have health care by the end of his first term as president. but can not state how he will come up with the trillions of dollars to fund it.

He is not Hillary Clinton.

He has no public record in the Senate.

He is a Democrat.

He is not Hillary Clinton.

He doesn't have a chance in hell of getting the nomination.

You and I are the powers that be, not a corporation.

Well that's been disproved time and time again.

Obama/McCain (even though he's a sellout)/Powell are where I'm throwing my vote, I can't imagine more then one of them in the race anyways.

Mebbe, but the Democratic ticket will be:

Gore / Obama.

You heard it here first.

it won't be a republican, that's guaranteed.

thankfully

and don't forget that republicans have the best smear machine in the world, so gore will have no shot AT ALL. and I am a hard core democrat, I just understand that once someone has been mercilessly mocked for something (invented the internet, whined about an election W clearly won, according to W) it sticks with them.

Same thing with Kerry. The windsurfing ad was one of the most powerful and irrelevant political ads ever made, and it clearly cost Kerry, even more than those swift boat as$holes. Clinton is interesting, because republicans don't want to be seen as sexist, yet she is the wife of their most hated enemy in the last 40 years-so they have to carefully paint her as a manipulative and cunning WOMAN yet cut her down for anything that resembles male behavior, like confrontation and arguments, taking a stand, etc. She faces an uphill battle.

Look for John Edwards to make a comeback, and expect Clinton to be running vp, I am quite sure she will be running in that position.

I am not sure who will be the Democratic candidate, but I will be surprised if it's Obama. The fact that he's black and he has aleady been called Osama by the press inadvertantly and beleive me that does matteral-there are many many people that would never ever in 1000000000000000000000000000 years support a black democrat for president. We have come a long way, but we have longer to go.

As far as the republicans, I support the weakest candidate they can field. I would suggest Romney/Rudy and keep Mccain off your ticket--he's actually intelligent and respected by both sides, and Dems do not want that.
