Che'_Moderator
If you don't like Nascar that's fine by me.Just be honest enough to just say it and not try to shluff it on on some BS excuse. But I think I speak for most everyone when I say that noone likes to see cheating anywhere.Cannot cheat if there are no rules. Less like NASCAR more like GTP!
gdizzle
IMO, if you get caught cheating you should be banned. THis is what happened to Toyota in 1995 for using a false restricter plate allowing almost double the amount of airflow as the other teams. Plan_B
Why cheat though?Exactly, they are driving around in a friggin circle, if you have to cheat at that then you suck!

towerymt
Frankly, being fined and penalized points is not enough to dissuade other teams from continuing this practice of cheating.Fines mean nothing, points mean something. Top 35 in points is HUGE. Just ask Mike Waltrip.I wonder if Fox has a Toyota cut-away car yet? NASCAR should help procure a Camry for them to butcher. djsaugatuck
NASCAR is not a sport. There really are no defined rules and the punishments are not consistent. NASCAR would be great if it involved cars right off the line that were just given safety upgrades, but still driven by hicks who like to add jet fuel to gas......already been tried? fromtheshadows
B)-->QUOTE(Plan B @ Feb 15 2007, 06:55 PM) ←Exactly, they are driving around in a friggin circle, if you have to cheat at that then you suck! Honestly, a cirle would be more interesting. Its an oval (2 turns a lap). This whole cheating thing shows that the referees were looking the other way at some point and letting the cheating happen, or the tests are getting more extensive. Either way I'd rather watch reruns of WRC than sit through 500 laps on an oval.
fromtheshadows
either way funny that toyota is back to its cheating ways ... wonder what it means they do to thier normal street cars to make them sell as well as they do ... maybe they inject you with crack through the seat so you have to go back and get more Crack has to be a premium option. Could it be making them run for 300,000 miles with only timing belt changes? My sisters Toyota truck has 285,000+ miles on it and Ive replaced the timing belt (2), plugs cap n rotor(2), and a coolant hose. Thats it (besides fluids). Runs like a top. Damn them for cheating the laws of planned obsolescence.
Spoony
Although I'm not a fan of NASCAR, I still believe that cheating is cheating. If NASCAR fans take pride in being hicks, then they should at least act like the cowboys of yester-year. If you cheat, you get shot.
larryo108
exactly...lets not blame coporations for once...cheating is due to some scum bag that wants to win above everything else...its that scumbag that should be punished...I will agree that it is the scumbag cheating (my guys crew chief has been caught once or twice), but it is totally a corporate America/sponsorship issue that these teams are not suspended for a whole race.I will say this, my driver (Kevin Harvick) was a hothead when he came into the sport. He was getting out of control. NASCAR suspended him for a race and his nose has been MUCH MUCH cleaner since then. he ahs matured. Make these teams sit and watch from home one weekend and you can nip this whole cheating thing in the butt. NASCAR will never do it because of the sponsors. There would be an enormous backlash.
