kevwall
Hi All. I have a 1994 t5 saloon right hand drive I think its time to replace the front anti rollbar bushes is it just the bushes i need to replace or do i need to replace the hole anti rollbar as a guy told me today as the bushes are moulded to the bar but he said he wasnt realy sure. Also there is a strange noise coming from the front righthand side a kind of whining sound that gets louder and louder the faster you go been makeing this noise for a while now but has been getting worse in the last two weeks or so.was out under the car this evening and it seams the noise is coming from the gear box could this be a possible bearing in the gearbox gone.any help would be gratfull.kevwall
NoodleKnight
Yep, on the stock swaybar the bushings are molded into it, so you need to get a whole new bar to replace them.As for your second problem, I don't know, there's been a lot of discussion about it but no 100% answer that I can recall. Someone's mentioned that if you have an automatic, it might be the torque converter.Hope this helps.

MrWinkey
As already stated yes the bushing's are molded onto the sway bar. As for the whining noise. Try changing your gear box oil first. It is synthetic. I personally use Royal Purple when I do them but I don't know what is available over there, probably way better than Royal Purple
