DAMN, All I gotta say is that this thread needs to be stickied or moved to the members/project section to be used as reference (for many people like myself, who are slowly building their cars).

Raf, thanks for spending so much time to research and post all these pics of your build and most of the parts involved. This thread is priceless...more VS members need to understand that the more info shared on the forum will improve the overall quality and performance of our cars...that is, if what is learned is put to use. I have a few questions, but you'll hear from me, as my build continues...

Can't say it enough...YOUR CAR IS SICK/HOT/1OFAKIND

Thanks for at least being different, and trying new things or methods/techniques/parts that aren't popular on this forum...

do we have any numbers now? this is just a Butt tickler plus most of those parts dont ,mean much to me if i dont have numbers to follow. what PSI are ur running? af/r's? everything!!!

To me is not about numbers. It's about balance, from the looks of the car, to the feel of the car, to the power delivery of the car(all in one package) within reason.

Like I said on the above reply, the tranny slipped to shit while boosting close to 18psi, my decision was to stop dyno tuning on the car, so no real #'s were generated. Most of the (very mild) tuning has been done on the road and low boost 14psi FOR NOW.

As for the head, all the parts are OEM new (cryoed), ported/polished, multi angle valve job, port match to intake/exhaust, custom cams from Cat (Belgium), and the list goes on. In terms of valves/springs/retainers/seat, I had contacted Ferrea but no one on this board wanted to do it and for a one of pieces was way to much $$(excess of 2K).

Most of everything that you see on my car has been thru hard work, lots of $$$, a few partial sponsorships and re-search.

Looking good. Noticed you have valve pockets cut into the wisecos, could you go into more detail regarding your pistons & rods? Stock valves?

The rods are the same as Johann's, they are made by good ole "Cunningham rods", made from 4340 chromoly steel.

The pistons are Wiseco, .040 over bore, coated by Calico coatings like all of my bearings and exh. manifold, the deeper valve pockets are standard for Wiseco's in case you run a more aggressive cam profile (safety net) but your engine builder should account for this when he or she specs it out.

Hope this answers your question.

Raf
