Can you please give me an info about your new disc?Has it the small springs around the hub like the OEM has?Because if not,then it will make too much noise at idle or when you don't press the clutch.I had a familiar a disc custom made from COSWORTH 4X4 and made too much noise,

Update;

The box of goodies showed up last night and started to re-assemble the tranny :D

Tonight, I'll bolt it back up and finalize the shifter linkages and install clutch master/slave cylinder..

FYI; The M56 tranny spline seal comes in two sizes 41mm or 44mm, if you order one, Volvo will ship both to you because it doesn't specify which one on Vadis..

The part# on my 99 tranny is 1381798, the other one is 8675580.

Nice progress. Looks good.PS: thin wires in both cases, I just got back from checking. So unless your MY differs from mine or Doug's: you're in good shape. Sorry it took so long.
Thanks Matt B)
LMAO you asshat. I thought you weren't going to take a picture of the parts box. :P
Got to excited :lol:

Very Nice Raf, looks great so far :tup: . Seeing the pics is giving me good motivation. I need to get my 5 speed in especially since I now have 3 M56H's ready to go and a shit load of parts and volvo boxes.

You're about to get bombarded with requests to sell the spare transmissions. Someone (who'll remain nameless) on here sent me some nasty email about how I had no right to hoard manual transmissions.... :blink:

Quick update;

Finally got around to work on the car today. This past weekend I attended the harvest festival in Livermore and I had family over but they are gone now.

I removed the half shafts, what a major *itch, the left side popped out with minor issues, the right side was a major "PITA", after beating on it for about 15 minutes plus spraying penetrant, it came off the hub!!!

My back is sore but stoked to get this thing back on the road.

This coming weekend, I'll rip the motor/tranny, swap the tranny and drop it back in. I hope to be done before the 16th.

If you guys want pics for a to do swap, let me know of what?

Raf
