you need to call San Diego Volvo and tell them to hook me up with a hazard relay switch and a rear license plate bracket. and no, not for the dealer price of 1 billion dollars either.

Coulda just asked me man ;)

MORAL OF THE STORY IS:

Make sure the people/place in charge of doing work on your car (or whatever you own) are reputable and responsible for whatever happens. Also time constraints need to be placed and followed or you should get every penny back...even if they've done some of the work...

I'm so sorry to hear this Pras. I can kind of relate.. my project car is in a similar situation. $10k in parts.. its runs worse than it did.. and actually doesn't run sans the dead alternator in a garage in the northeast. I wonder how much of an ordeal it would be to get a used 850 turbo motor to throw in there?

about $850 is what my complete motor cost me.....included everything attached to it sans trans, etc.

Well guys, i swung by pras's place today and we spent all afternoon trying to get his speedo to work. For the backgrond on the speedo not working read here:

Well guys, i swung by pras's place today and we spent all afternoon trying to get his speedo to work. For the backgrond on the speedo not working read here:

http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index.php?s...p;#entry1011335. First we tried my cluster, nothing. Then alot of people said we could just tap the ABS signal at the wheel. So we tried various combinations of taps and gauge clusters trying to produce a combination that worked, but to no avail. So now hopefully he can get his motor installed in texas to get his working speedo back before going to india. Unfortunatly that means he has to drive all the way to texas without a working speedometer. Well heres the pics (and I have to say I was amazed by this car in person, its just awesome):

The ugly was uncalled for! :D

Car looks amazing, I wouldn't necessarily have done all that to it, but it doesn't look botched and actually 'flows' well together. I like it a lot.

The door jambs and overspray are minor issues, I expected a lot, lot worse than that.

Well, I think it looks good but I've never been/will be a fan of the color "RED", not to forget yellow :lol:
