HtownTurboBrick Posted July 3, 2007 Report Share Posted July 3, 2007 (edited) If it's not, and I have a day to spare, I'll help that mofo get his done as long as he can get my stuff done!pfffffttttt its waiting at the shop with a pretty bow on top pras. he called me last night cuz he couldnt' get a hold of you and he needed to tell someone.o and aaron's car is running or was cuz in his haste he overlooked the cooling fan which never came on in out debut start. he drove the beast around for a 30 some odd miles and about an hr or so and she ran fine...that was until he found a nice layer of oil in the resovoir. he should be resolving that today..it may be because he skimpped out on replacing the radiator or the HG really did give out this time. but in any case he's in a much cheerier mood then he was last wednesday when he thought he crapped something. HtownTurboBrick Posted July 5, 2007 Report Share Posted July 5, 2007 (edited) DOWEL PINS!!!!!!! yea thats pretty suck. a $5 part caused a trip half way across the country and then to place full trust in a guy he's never met. i can't imagine having to go thru that, luckily for me, aaron lives here haha.is this the reason pras's cam wouldnt turn easily?ps, if im totally off the mark, I dont know what dowel pins are, so its a shot in the darkyea, dowel pins are 2 little tabs that let you center the head gasket, pras' engine builder neglected this fact, most likely cuz he's a porsche builder and porsche's don't use dowel pins, so they we're trying to bolt the head on angled with the headgasket off cenetered.
