Holy jeebus!!!

I can't believe I read all of that :D

In all seriousness, I'm sorry to hear the extent of the problems that you faced with the car. To the people out there, I was there when Pras picked up the engine in pieces. Words cannot describe how f'ed up it was to see your entire engine in tiny little pieces (albeit they tried to bag bolts and label them and whatnot).

I cannot believe that Blackjack screwed you over like that as well. They seemed like honest people. I guess my accident was a blessing in disguise as I was ready to have blackjack do the work on the kit.

I hope everything works out at the end.

Mike

Dang Pras, I feel ur pain.

A bit of advise for any member on this forum that tries to under take a detailed project like the few of us have done or are doing, at some point it becomes a nightmare, so please, do your research and budget accordingly.

I had my share of issues which you're well aware of but I wont get into that since we are chatting about your project.

I heard that you also decided to changed the color, WHY???? it looked so pimp before IMO.

The only thing I can say is that I hope the end results make you happy or satisfied. I'm sure Aaron will get the motor figured out but you will never get your $$ worth out of the car, might as well keep it for a while or until you return.

Too bad you live far from me because I would of given you a helping hand, now post pics and quit ranting :D

Raf

I got to agree with raf on this one... cars for the most part from our side... suck. BUT the upside is that Ill get to finish both our projects... and then well have to have a finished project photoshoot/underware model party!!!;) hot.

NOW POST THE DAMM PICTERS!!!

Ok im drunk to bed now.

you expect results when you pay to get those results. when you're promised something in a certain timeframe, and you PAY for that timeframe, you should have it in that timeframe. I planned the timeframe, everyone involved knew the timeframe, so it should have been done in that timeframe. i guess I just give people the benefit of the doubt. i believe in time.

Yeah I agree... you are guaranteed something and never get it. It is so tiring.

Same thing is happening to me again, this Friday except with the one thing I never thought would(I should say one person I never thought would). Let downs suck, and when the one thing you have to fall back on (your car) fails... it just plain blows.

well, something i have learned working on cars...take how long it "will take" to get something or get something done and multiply it by 4-8, same thing with cost but by 2-20. Me and another guy in charlotte are working on some major stuff for his car. It took almost a year (10 months) to get everything we needed to put his front suspension and brakes on and there are still issues with it. His custom manifold, which was promised to take only 2-3 weeks, was supposed to be here 2 months ago...guess what? It still isnt here. His engine is "about a week" away from being ready....so itll be here in a month. Its just what you can expect...people can promise time-frames all they want, but when the sht hits the fan...its gonna take longer.oh yeah, learn and dont take a plunge you cant recover from when everything that was supposed to go as planned falls apart

Damn....I feel like I was reading Evolve S60R customer car went bad all over.

I'm sorry for all the hassle and frustration you went through on this project. I can't believe how certain vendor or company (bodyshop) can provide such false agreement on timeline for finish product, not to mention shady and unacceptable workmanship.

Regarding VMS, I know one guy (the one black S40 with white Wedsport wheel) who order a VMS turbokit with their custom log manifold from Terry. It took littery 3-4 months before the poor guy able get the kit and installed it. He didn't listen to us regarding the turbo manifold poor design. Guess what? Shortly after, he have CRACK on VMS manifold :monkey:

I think the best advice for those to take on a project like this is have an extra car as DD , an extra engine and a lot of RESEARCH each vendor and companies that you are contracting the work.

Thats plain shitty man. I guess the moral of the story is buy a beater for while the car is in the shop, then sell the beater to pay the shop when all the work is done up to satisfaction. Great to see you getting outside the box and doing some custom work though, not many guys have the balls to actually do it. I think shaving the door handles is a great idea, I just can't bring myself to actually doing it... :(

Hope everything works out, can't wait to see the picters.
