holy, VMS load of crap. wow...

man, what a crappy ordeal.

when i built my lexus, i learned that pressuring time on body work is the worst thing you can do. if you're not shelling out loads of $$$$$, your car is pretty much inline with everything else in the shop.

so... selling anything Pras? :)

Dude SO sorry you have my luck too ! My ECU is screwed up, no DP yet and FEDEX took 2 days to deliver my ECU when I paid for it overnight 10:30AM and now I have to wait a week for my $55 back and it got there 2 days later !!!!!!!!!!!!. THEN I need a refund/credit from www.turbochargers.com since they screwed me on my turbo pricing, oh, oh then my car almost catches on fire Monday using some shitty heat wrap on my exhaust to cover the gap between the angled flange turbo and the straight flanged DP, so gotta take whats left of that back, WTF you know, I've learned a lot going through this and realize when you deal with custom work, fabricators, etc especially when you have to pay up front, they got you by the balls and your left with nothing else to do BUT wait, retarded. NOT customer service by any means ? Atleast I'm not the only sole going through it, best of luck Pras, if you have any leftover bullets hit me up !

Sorry that this happened to you. It reminds me of Scott's issues with his tune when he moved to CO, what do you tell a guy who's had to deal with all kindsa shit ? I had similar issues back when I had my VW (body shop dropped the ball, big time) and I remember having to fight tooth and nail to get my money back.

I hope it works out, it'd be a shame for you to leave for India with this memory of your wagon.

You should've done one part of the project @ a time. Engine first get that running how ya like. Then body wwork get that looking right , then do stereo and then your done. You had to much going on @ once.

i'm going to have to agree. althought u may have had the money, the time periods were just terrible. its very very difficult to a job of this sort(defending the body shops). really i guess the thing that messed it all up is ur trip that landed smak dab in the middle of the project. and perhaps the rushing needed. (not your fault and im not blaming you, it was probly 6 of one, half-dozen of another sort for thing.)

just think about all the money u just paid cuz of a shitty rushed job. now ur gunna have to do it over again and repay(regarding the paint).

cannot wait to see the car tho. and after all this work will this still be your daily driver? i sure as hell hope not. get a honda.(kidding) but serisouly please dont drive an amazing showcar(cuz tahts what its really going to be) everyday.

Wow, Pras i'm really sorry to hear about all this shit. If you do decide in the future that you want to part the car out, Let me know. I can arrange to have it shipped out here and i can do the disassembly/shipping of parts for ya. If you need any body work/paint help or advice just holler at me.

This is exactly the kind of story that reminds me why the phrase "If you want it done right, do it yourself" is so true.

Unfortunately for Pras, he's got way more issues to deal with than I did. What do you say? Same thing people told me: don't mod your daily driver. ;)
