Chilled man
Any thing will be better then Ford , Hyandia has the best warrenty 20 years 200,000 miles Renualt would be sweet also but I think BMW would be a bad move as chuck said it would be the bastard car of there group. Just no more domestic owners they all make junk cars.
Zulu
Who cares? This effects none of us lol and I doubt many of you would look into another Volvo for performance.

Guest Guest_mormit_*
I could live with Renault. I'd like to see AB Volvo buy back Volvo Cars. They sold it for 6.45B back in 98. They are in a very good position to buy it at the rumored price of 8B. Considering how weak the dollar is now vs the Kronor and the Euro, it would be virtually the same as the sold it for. Renault would have the same advantage.Only thing with that though is that AB Volvo bought Renault's heavy truck division and Mack Trucks in 01. They seem to be focusing on commercial trucks and probably have no interest in the car business.
pro_star
boourns. they made good cars. if they bought it back out again i'd probably consider getting another volvo once I drive mine into the ground (hopefully many many many years from now)
PharmD
I've decided at this point I don't even care as long as it isn't Hyundai (or something similar...Kia or something).YES, I know they'd pump good money into Volvo, but I just don't know if I could stand the "cheap-o foreign car" stigma. 97Rwagon
Yea, I dont know what would be better, BMW or the Swedes. The Pre-ford Volvos were pretty damn reliable. I never had any major problems with my 850 R.
Geevs
I would prefer the wallenberg family to buy volvo back so it is a true swedish company once again.Well going back to Swedish roots, how about the guy who owns Ikea and was once (but briefly) the world's richest man?Maybe he'll sell Volvos in knock down kits you can assemble in your own garage. I bet many of you guys are just gonna love the idea.

info2x
This is awesome! If GM was to get Volvo you guys rest assured that I'd make sure they don't screw it up. At the very least I would know what to tell HR since they sent me an e-mail asking which part of the company I would like to work for.BMW... I know a guy.Hyundai... I say we group buy it backVW... Meh...Kind of ironic too since one of my coworkers asked about a possible Volvo sale today in the parking lot... (n)A-GAME
they won't sell it, it makes ford too much money. Land Rover/Jaguar would be sold eons before Volvo.
