Mesoam
Iso was mainly between 800-1600, not much cropping, I think the one which has the most is of the Tiger. The 300mm zoom really came in handy Mesoam, what ISO were those at? Did you crop them quite a bit? Last one is good timing.
gdizzle
What camera where you using? Definitely wasn't the D70 if you were shooting that high of ISO.
Mesoam
D50...the d70 has 1600? http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nikond70/page2.asp
gdizzle
I don't remember. I just know it sucks at anything higher than ISO 400.
Mesoam
I'll take that as a pseudo compliment.... I don't remember. I just know it sucks at anything higher than ISO 400.
gdizzle
I'll take that as a pseudo compliment.... They're not bad, but they're not great. You've done better. They all seem underexposed by a stop or two to me.
Mesoam
You're right, I think I need to take a real trip to Africa

gdizzle
It's a nice image, great contrast. Can't say I'm a fan of the sepia treatment though, I'd rather see it in BW.

Your wish is my command Also made these variants: do not like that stupid lens flare on the upper left
Zaitz
Nice shot. Did the preset you were using add the flare in those edited shots?
nari
Nice shot. Did the preset you were using add the flare in those edited shots? Nope. 1st is unedited. The 18-105 Vr has a stupidly small hood. b&w and spei effects hid that pretty well.
gdizzle
BW looks much better IMO, keep in mind it's just my opinion.
Spanky
If some of you experienced guys could only carry three lenses what focal lengths would you choose?
Zaitz
If some of you experienced guys could only carry three lenses what focal lengths would you choose? 3 zooms or primes? Either way I'd go with this: Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 Nikon 85mm f1.4 Nikon 135mm f2 dc or 200mm f2 I'm not much for the mid/normal range.
