ruecatinat
Two I took up north last week using my D70 and 18-105: gdizzle has let me know my sensor needs cleaning, haven't quite gotten around to it yet...I guess that's a fail on my part. Other than that, C&C away folks.
Zaitz
Saw the second on Bimmerforums. Did you use a lens hood on it?

Zaitz
Nope, unfortunately left it in the boat I know you mentioned flare and the hood will definitely help with that. Otherwise your hand will work.
gdizzle
That last shot is an awesome shot Zach! Sketch, clean your sensor!

Sketch, clean your sensor! Got you covered there I've been shooting a fair bit of film lately so the D70 has been neglected. The dust spots really retract from the image quality though, I'll be dropping it off pretty soon. I know you mentioned flare and the hood will definitely help with that. Otherwise your hand will work. Appreciate it, I don't usually shoot in direct sunlight and my brain was in vacation mode. Some of the recent photos you've been posting are awesome. I recall you got a hold of some extension tubes, makes me want to look into it.
gdizzle
Zach, the spider web shot was shot w/ the Rok 85mm and what i'm assuming was the kenko tube? Your tags on flickr mention vivitar as well. Flash?

Yeah the flare can be annoying, sometimes it works well but with the last few I tried they didn't turn out. And thanks! For their cost I am really surprised how well they work. Since there is no glass there is no image quality degrading. The Kenko tubes also maintain AF, which for macro stuff isn't really important but it's still nice every once and a while. Zach, the spider web shot was shot w/ the Rok 85mm and what i'm assuming was the kenko tube? Your tags on flickr mention vivitar as well. Flash? Thanks Greg. Yeah that one was with the 85mm. I had all three tubes stacked - 12, 20, and 36. It was just lit by two house lamps. I brought this small garden in a tub inside so I wouldn't have any wind to deal with for longer exposures. I wanted to try focus stacking too but didn't get it right. I mention Vivitar because the lens is sold under a few names and people will search for any of them, polar, bower, walimex, rokinon, vivitar, samyang, and falcon. Optically they are all the same but some are priced differently and look a bit different on the outside. Zaitz
Pretty disappointed with a lot of the shots today. Took about 400 out with the dogs on a run. Very foggy, perhaps expecting too much. Not many keepers. Just couldn't get any sort of detail in the dogs face. Happy with these two though. D700 would have been nice. Faster AF too. gdizzle
Nice Zach, I like your post on the two foggy landscapes. I didn't shoot anything this weekend. I've got an itch to shoot film again though, going to fire up the 645 and 35mm this week. Still have a bag of expired film in the fridge to burn through..... lengendsecko87
Used a Canon Powershot SD110IS. Point and shoooot. The sun was super red for some odd reason.

I wish I still had my F100, should not have sold it. But without being able to develop the film I wouldn't quite enjoy it as much. What camera and film are you going to use? Did you hear about Kodachrome? That sun is tiny lengendsecko87.

But without being able to develop the film I wouldn't quite enjoy it as much. What camera and film are you going to use? Did you hear about Kodachrome? Yeah.. sucks. It's funny that dawayne's is the last place to develop it too. I had 5 rolls of film, both 120 and 35mm developed by them and they did an aweful job. I'll never use them again. The scans were horrible (). Medium format I shoot with a Mamiya 645 or a Yashica D TLR. 35mm I have several to choose from, I'll probably shoot w/ my canon A-1 though. As for film, I have a whole bunch of different films that I bought off ebay and a retired photographer. I'll have to inventory what I have and post it up. Most of the medium format stuff is Fujicolor and kodak x-pan b/w though. I know I have a bunch of tmax 35mm too, at least I think I do..
