Mike_P
Do i have to reset something? It should reset itself at about 15 mph as a self-test. If not check to see if the module is plugged in all the way, the connector can be difficult to seat
Dmsee
Are you sure it was a faulty module?? It might be the sensor too
Guest Kieth
I recently replaced the ABS Module on my 98 S70, the spedo was out and ABS/TRACS lights on. When I put in the new module the spedo worked but the lights would stay on.Turned out it was dirty ABS Sensors at the wheels. I cleaned them with wheel cleaner that was safe for abs and rubber parts. They weren't that dirty but had a good coating of road grime and grease on the tip. I also used the cleaner on the toothed gear behind the rotors that the sensors get thier signal from. Brakes have worked fine now for 6 months since. :)

Dmsee
So you still have ABS and TRACS lit?If so did you check the codes before replacing the unit?Did you try to position the key on position II
freeskier8585
checked no codes, it was intermittent for a while then has been on, figured it was bound to die or die soon with the suspension set up i have. Key pos II does nothing for the light.
stm1up
I had a similar situation in my 97 that threw no codes, the abs\tracs light was on and the speedo continued to work. The abs\tracs was intermittent to start with but eventually stayed on all the time. It ended up being the front left side wheel sensor that appeared to be fine looking at it but the wire had unseated itself but still inside the connector and just not making contact. Everything was fine after remaking the connection.

Dmsee
There should be codes if the light is still on. Get a scanner for ABS and scan
