freeskier8585
is that different than reading regular fault codes?
stm1up
What did you say? Just to make sure. you read the ABS codes right?I think he said there were no codes thrown, that he could then read had they been present.
flaco
any generic obd-ii scanner will not read ABS codes on an 850. if the light is on, you do have abs codes stored, but those can be read only with a volvo tool. time to give your dealer a visit...just to be sure, you re-soldered 4 wires total, right? Go to dealership or Indy and tell them you need to read ABS codes. If there is a light then there is a code ;)

flaco
well 4 wires total 2 wires in the black sleeve to the 2 wires that were wound.in that case you missed the other side sensor wiring. there are two thick black sleeved cables, each one containing 2 wires. the way you put it, there are 8 wires total, ie 4 different wire pairs that need to be soldered. freeskier8585
looks like im digging back into that stuoid box again. Also i took all the relays off so that i could pull the fuse box up enough to sodder, i put them all back but one, that says "J" on it, like the big ones on the fuse box. Kinda dont know where it goes, could someone help me out.
flaco
now that you know what to look for... you can remove the top lid (4 torx) and see where the black wires enter the box, and carefully pull them until you get access to the original crimps. If youre lucky and they are not tangled, you wont have to lift the fuse block at all. I think if you look at the empty sockets on the fuse block, you should be able to figure where your missing relay goes. Most relays will only fit a unique location so....
