So thats the only point you can make?

Come on this guy is struggling! You appear to have chosen his side for whatever reason.

For Gods sake, help him out!

Huh, who are you talking to?

http://www.newint.org/issue226/killing.htm - "He directed eight major massacres, killing up to 3,000 Indians at a time. Mayan chiefs were incinerated alive as Catholic priests burned Mayan historical records. Alvarado rewarded his soldiers with the right to enslave the survivors."

- specifically religious wars in France & Germany

"The crisis climaxed on August 24, 1572, when Catholics massacred some 1,000 to 2,000 Huguenot civilians in Paris in a single night, known as the St. Bartholomew's Night Massacre. "

I imagine there is plenty more, but I didn't bother to look.

I am not going to tell you what religion I am speaking about. I just want to know if you agree with this statement.

"Any religion that demands earthly vengence and retribution for ANY reason is not a religion at all. It is an illness and should be treated as such."

Gary

Boy did you open up a can of worm's or what?

How am i struggling?.... i could have easily googled and come up with many instances to back my side. Yet i used what was on the top of my head to initiate the debate with you.... and at a later time bring in more concrete support, which now someone has already provided. You never came up with any facts or information to support your opposition. This is how a debate works... now go study so you can actually involve yourself in an intellectual conversation

Thank You.... This was going to be my main point......... leading to present day where almost 77% of Mexico is Roman Catholic and 97% of Honduras. They are good representations of the long lasting influence that Alvarado had on Central America.

It's called "life" buddy. So if the Nook-Nook tribe of Africa wouldn't let us take their sacred vegetable even though it cured cancer and they would die defending it- "bye-bye" Nook-Nook tribe and I have nooooooo problem with that..... ..................

I know what your saying..... the only reason i brought up the Catholic thing is to show that Muslims are not the only ones who have taken their religion to violent levels. I am a strong believer in "everything happens for a reason".... I believe America is a strong country because we have so many cultures sharing strengths. Good things have happened and bad things have happened... thats life, like you said... but to be back on topic; discrediting someones faith because they are violent? No... and that was the point i have been trying to make.
