His litter mate had piles of shelled sunflower and pumpkin seeds around him, and was right next to him.I hope he doesn't die soon. Last night I saw that he had lost weight and had no energy.The other gerbil kept bringing him food to eat, but once they're dying, there's really no hope.I suspect he hurt himself playing or just got sick somehow.Now the other gerbil is very jumpy and not his normal friendly curious self. I've had gerbils since I was 8. When one dies, the other will usually die since they really need to be kept in pairs.I got this pair about a year ago after both previous gerbils, Stanley and Oliver died of old age.I had sworn off another pair, till I saw a new design home, and saw this siamese, and his litter mate, a silver gerbil, Jake and Elwood.No more little guys for me tho.
