Fudge_Brownie Posted December 28, 2009 Report Share Posted December 28, 2009 So my Fedora Core 12 Beta install straight up froze the other day and on a hard reboot, the OS won't load. Just hangs after POST. After checking for a corrupt logical volume, and re-installing grub to the MBR, I post on a Fedora forum. Their admin with 16k posts tells me he's got no idea, to get my data off and reformat. WTF is this? Since when did Linux have the same troubles and lack of actual support that Windows has? And to rub salt in the wound, I literally had a tab open reading about LVM duplication because I set this computer up with a drive intended to be a perfect image (along the lines of mirrored RAID) but had not found the right commands I was looking for just yet.
