gilber that building has amazing potential!

and...this one is for matt, mikey, justina, and the rest of the dbags

Yeah, it does. It was really cool inside. The interior has been renovated into offices and what not, but it's all just thin walls, could easily be redeveloped. I took some pictures, maybe I'll throw them up later.

We also toured the boiler room, which has not been touched since the original factory closed. There were so many old gauges and what not, which contain high amounts of mercury, just sitting in there broken. Last time I was that close to that much mercury I was in a full body suit w/respirator, three pairs of gloves, and every seem duct taped, and us and the gauges were in a sealed off room with a hepa fan.

so what do you do exactly? Also, what kind of company? Investors? Sounds pretty cool to be honest

I worked for Veolia for a couple summers. My Dad is the maintenance manager for NA, so almost any semi trailer or truck you see that has Veolia on it, he bought, he also makes sure that all the branches are keeping records up to date on maintenance, etc. Most people know them as the garbage pick up, but they have a different division that is mostly remediation, ie asbestos, chemical spills, etc. One summer I ran all of the equipment for asbestos remediation around Wisconsin. And the other summer I worked for the Veolia ER team. I lived in Iowa for a month cleaning up a WE Energies power plant that was completely flooded and filled the basement with oil (that's where I also did mercury remediation, I could list everything I did there, but it would be sooo long). Everyone probably remembers those floods, pretty much the entire midwest was flooded.

I lived in Minneapolis for a month doing arsenic remediation. I spent a week in a forest doing diesel remediation from a train derailment. And a couple odd stuff, a truck carrying industrial cleaning supplies that started on fire and melted half the truck, small diesel spills on highways, things like that. It was definitely an experience. Best part was that I was one of a few guys from the WE Energies job that was recognized as doing a superb job on the site.

Sounds like she's dating for free meals

That's one of the first things that popped in my head. All well I didn't waste too much money. If she asks me out again I'll make her pay so I can get my money back. Oh, wait she doesn't have a fucking job.
