has anyone ever been able to get their cell bill reduced because they fucked something up? i just spend around an hour of my time figuring out why my bill reflected a different number than the actual charges break down...also had to wait 64 in que on their online help - tmobile

I don't see why they wouldn't. T-Mobile is usually pretty good about that kind of shit. I went way over on my texts this last month, and I went into T-Mobile and told them I'll stay with them if when I upgrade my phone, they backdate the texts so I don't have to pay the overage charge. I know how much I bitch about T-Mobile, but now that I have a new phone, the service is way better and the the phone is awesome. Galaxy S. Loves it.

Assuming its their billing error this should be relatively easy to resolve I would think. I've gotten charges reduced when it was my fault, like someone on my plan not understanding that unlimited in-network calling requires a plan change, back when it wasn't standard to have it.

If all else fails remember this phrase: "Can you connect me with someone in customer retention?"

The problem is that the amount reflected owed is not broken down properly in the charges section which illustrates a lower amount with no explanation of the higher amount. I waited in the online que for over 1/2 hour mainly because I have no service in my appt. The rep initially stated there was an overage then stated the charges breakdown was simply out of date and needed to be refreshed. So I wasted over and hr of my time getting a resolution of "the system will update". I explained that I felt i should be offered an inconvenience credit and the rep just kept saying "have i resolved your issue". Eventually the rep stated I will get a call from a supervisor

Urban myth:

A Well-Planned Retirement Outside England 's Bristol Zoo there is a parking lot for 150 cars and 8 buses. For 25 years, its parking fees were managed by a very pleasant attendant..... The fees for cars ($1.40), for buses (about $7). Then, one day, after 25 solid years of never missing a day of work, he just didn't show up; so the zoo management called the city council and asked it to send them another parking agent. The council did some research and replied that the parking lot was the zoo's own responsibility. The zoo advised the council that the attendant was a city employee. The city council responded that the lot attendant had never been on the city payroll. Meanwhile, sitting in his villa somewhere on the coast of Spain, France, or perhaps Italy is a man who'd apparently had a ticket machine installed completely on his own and then had simply begun to show up every day, commencing to collect and keep the parking fees, estimated at about $560 per day -- for 25 years. Assuming 7 days a week, this amounts to over $5 million dollars, and no one knows his name....
