There is no force on the clamp unless the car is jacked up or the rear end goes completely airborne. Its just to hold a non pigtailed spring in the cup when the car is jacked or the rear end leaves the ground. Ive had my springs like that for over 3 years, with just a super thick zip tie, no problems...yet And technically you only need an air bag for accidents....doesn't mean it safe to ride like that. The anchorages are so cheap anyways. and yes in a perfect world the only forces are straight up and down but your talking about moving componets..in real life applications. Risk is not worth the non existent reward Concerning the 850's, a setup like that is actually safer than stock considering that the only anchorage is on the bottom of the spring. The question is whether the sentiment carries on with regards to accuracy in reviewing a member or if we gloss over it. In my particular case - which I'm fairly certain you're talking about, someone went through and repped both you (multiple times across your posts) and me down for speaking negatively about the member in question. Even though we both simply stated the facts. Points don't matter but encouraging people to change their behavior or get off the boards does.
