Get Some Posted March 30, 2011 Report Share Posted March 30, 2011 the top, longer one is to the primer so that's not buffing out however the bottom one is not into the primer so that one would be correctable IMO the top ones pretty deep can definitly feel it with your finger nail the bottom one i paid less attention to due to time.. hopefully thursday i can get out n try n take the bottom scratch out.. But I'll never wake up without having set an alarm for at least an hour, if not two or three. And when I wake up, its the worst feeling. It's like my brain shutdown and didn't turn back on. Fudge_Brownie Posted March 30, 2011 Report Share Posted March 30, 2011 its 2ND gen ipod touch.. was dropped in water?? or put throw the washing machine.. one of the two.. the litmus paper in the headphone jack didnt was slightly barely pink? either it washed out or what have you. the digitizer stopped working so ordered one of ebay.. clipped it in and such it didnt work, months pass i went and bought another digitizer from ebay ( possibly my problem ??)when pullin the other one i broke the lcd screen so i replaced that too.. plugged it all in charged it up but it was still red, clipped everythin in and it still didnt work, home button works top button works but still no touch capabilities?? im thinking that it might just be the ebay digitizers are shit? Alright, he said if you did the swap correctly, to try and inspect for corrosion, but that it sounded like water damage and it's probably the mainboard that's fried. Unfortunately, I think we can all agree you're in a sticky jam. Could be a DOA part, could be a corroded connection, or possibly a dead board.
