Get Some Posted March 31, 2011 Report Share Posted March 31, 2011 Alright, he said if you did the swap correctly, to try and inspect for corrosion, but that it sounded like water damage and it's probably the mainboard that's fried. Unfortunately, I think we can all agree you're in a sticky jam. Could be a DOA part, could be a corroded connection, or possibly a dead board. Know anyone who will let you borrow their touch to disassemble it and use it to test in yours? it sucks cuz everythin else works fine .. i paid nothin for it so im at no loss. just the cost of the screen n digitizer a whole wapping $20 bucks.. i talked to the guy on ebay n hes sendin me another one free so ill hope for the best.
