gilber33
Need an opinion. Don't know a thing about aftermarket wheels. Anyway, my friend is offering me right of first refusal on a set of SSR Professors SP1. They are 17" with a 5*100 pattern. The barrels and faces are fine (could use new clear coat) but the lips have bends on them. There are no cracks though. He's offering them for $300. Is it a good deal? How much would it cost to fix them up? And... adapters to fit on the Volvo? I can try and grab pictures of the bends later if it helps. Well, offset? Width? Refinishing can cost as much as you want to spend. You can get lips repaired sometimes, otherwise you'll have to get custom ones made at ~$250 each. Adapters are ~$300. And depending on width and et, they might not even fit. Just to give you an idea, I have $700 in my BBS RS right now and still have another $400 of hardware to get, and that doesn't count the cost of buying the wheels. You can half ass and do it cheaper, or you can do it right and spend the money and have an amazing set of wheels.

Fudge_Brownie
Crappy movies ruined my ability to watch new movies. I'm afraid to put on a new movie unless recommended to me by someone I trust to have similar taste as I do (so, no one) because I'm sick of wasting 2 hours of my life on the absolute shit hollywood pumps out. So instead, I watch TV. The theory is that I only lose the 1hr (or 30min) to a crappy episode of a show, at which point, I switch it. And it's much easier to recognize a shitty TV show, while a movie I have to finish because I refuse to put judgement on a movie I haven't seen the end of. Given that tv shows have less time, and therefore risk involved, I have a lower standard for what is acceptable to watch. Unintentionally, I've developed a risk management strategy for my time in front of a TV screen. And when I came to that conclusion, I realized I think I'm insane
