Iphone 4s for me is 49.99 when my contact ends at the end of this month.

Iphone 5 is going to be around 200.

I am leaning away from the droids simply because there are too many of them availible, and im not sure about any of them.

I mainly take photos, text, call, use the navigation feature, browse facebook a little, and occasionally I pull up information using the internet.

I need a good camera, reception, good navi, good battery life, and a semi fast internet... not much.

anyone care to reccomened a new droid?

lol

Nokia = best navigation/GPS on a phone ever. They can work without the need of data too.. cameras on them are also pretty good. I've got a Nokia Lumia 710 and love it.

Not Android though

I have had my DROID X2 for over a year and a half now, and even when it wasn't even a month old I had problems with it. Current issues as they stand: phone will turn itself off in my pocket from time to time, phone will turn the flash light app on by itself, music will start playing by itself in my pocket, battery life is half a day at best, 75% of the time when I take a picture the phone freezes and resets itself, starting the mobile browser causes the phone to lock up quite a bit and the phone will reset itself, simple tasks like text messaging will cause the phone to freeze and reset....

literally dozens and dozens of things I despise about my phone

none of those problems on my droid x.

Have you performed a refresh of the phone (or whatever they might call it, reset, reinstall, reformat)? That does sound like it could be a hardware problem, though it sounds like it could be software too. Tough to tell.

Im going to say go with the 4s if it will only be $50 compared to $200. If they will both be running the same operating system with the 5 having just slightly better hardware I don't see the need to spend the extra $150 for that. I'll add also though that I'm never really one for spending lots of money on having the newest, nicest models of things because frankly I find it to be somewhat of a waste so sure I'm biased. I have a regular 4 and honestly even that has been an amazing phone in my eyes.

Actually everyone should go buy the 5 just because I can rejoice as my Apple stocks make me more money :D
