All good down south Graydon ?

My doc played with my nuts during my last visit. He told me what I already knew: nothing odd happening down there.

Quasi-alright, Had something show up in May practically over night and was told "Don't worry about anything" and now they're going to be diving in there in November to pull one out. I'm not using them anymore anyways so I'm all good with that end.

Just doing a PSA...

It's for a motorcycle exhaust "core". So there's 3 allen heads going around the tip of the pipe. I suspect I'm going to have trouble with all of them. Grinding it off is going to do a number to the surface, and even if I did, I still think there would be too much 'shaft' left in the bolt hole to allow removing of the core.

Use a good penetrating lubricant. Kano Kroil is the best out there. If you can find some local to you buy it. It's not cheap, but worth every penny. Soak it for a few hours, heat, and try again.

If I find it, I'll be sure to buy it. Thanks for the recommendation.

I had soaked in mutliple times with PBBlaster, then blowtorched in sequence, heat, cool, heat etc. Still no deal. The damn bolt is only like a half inch tall at best, I don't think its super stuck. It's just very soft aluminium hex heads that are really too small for the task.

Anyone ever use a worm clamp for an axle boot? Is there any reason not to? The clamps that came with my boot kits fucking suck and I could not get the clamps tight and re-used my oetiker clamps, well, the DS one must have been pretty bad but the clamp broke loose and the boot popped off. The boot is still fine, but I need a clamp and none of the auotparts stores around here sell oetiker clamps and I don't know where to get them besides online.

I have on other cars..but you need to make sure the screw clears everything in the full rotation of the axle..

Maybe this is a question for TB :P but I just had my first experience with JBWeld. Mixed it 50-50, gave it 24hrs to cure (or more?). The stuff snaps apart like cheap plastic. It didn't seem any stronger than the most basic off-the-shelf two-part epoxy. Extra brittle. So, was the mixture ratio too far off (doubt it)? Is 24hr cure time for thin layers and it takes longer for thicker layers? Or is this just like any old two-part epoxy with a famous house-hold name on it? I'm amazed anyone would use this anywhere besides the interior of the car. And even then.... meh. I feel like I've used stronger epoxies in the past.

I feel like I am taking crazy pills with all these people losing their nut over the iPhone 5... everything they mentioned in the Apple announcement has been out for years to more from other vendors/suppliers/companies. Why are people so juiced over this outdated device the day it hits?
