If he didn't enjoy the military, I'd say school has enough mild similarities in that his interest in school might not be strong. Unless he has a passion in a field that typically requires a degree, I don't think it'd be a great idea for him to go running off to school for whatever degree sounds the best. 4 years later, he'll be wondering if it was worth it and how the hell he's going to pay down the mountain of loans. I think a better phrase is "find a career path". Considering he just made a huge life change, only makes sense that he needs to figure out wtf to do now. Just stay outta the bar.
