Q-Ship
To be fair, he's in Claremont, the crown jewel of the I.E., which includes other such luminaries such as Barstow, San Bernadino, Fontucky, and of course, Trona. On the west side they wait a little longer before putting on jackets because the Chihuahuas they carry keep them a little warmer. It did hit 53 last night. Smithwicks
To be fair, he's in Claremont, the crown jewel of the I.E., which includes other such luminaries such as Barstow, San Bernadino, Fontucky, and of course, Trona. Didnt know we were lumped in with all the rest of those places, huh...And yeah Fontana was definetely Fontucky according to my roommates who went to NASCAR this weekend. Does that include you Tom? Has your blood thinned that quickly? I was out in LA a couple weeks ago and it was gorgeous in the high 80s. I pondered why I was not living in Southern Cali and then my wife reminded me: long commutes, crazy constant traffic, high cost of living, crazy people... No, blood hasnt thinned enough yet. Had to turn on the heat for a month or so when it was getting down to freezing at night. Right about now seems to be the nice time of the year before everything heats up in the summer. And yes, stay away from LA, its like Chicago on steroids and worse. That and instead of having the body of water to the east, its to the west...keep getting messed up with that. Traffic hasnt been too bad, roommates and I were able to find a house 15 minutes from out jobsite and only have to use local roads, no highways. pdlarson
WTF is the deal with this weather ?! Now they are saying 42 tomorrow night... 42 in miami at the end of march It'll be 41F here tomorrow, for the high though. 50's out here means people walking around with puffy North Face jackets. OMFG, 21 tonight. The other day, sunny and 38. Now that was shorts weather! Relatively speaking anyway. After our winters, 38 feels pretty fk'n good!!! Although the coldest I've ever been was in SoCal. The humidity can make 50s seem pretty damn cold. When I was a kid, 60 miles on a freeway in the back of a pickup truck, adults in front, kids in the open bed on a cold nite, dressed for daytime play but late at night with the wind, it was miserable. The good ol' days. Now I suppose parents who do that would be locked up.
matt b
I can handle the cold just fine, it doesn't bother me. It's what it does to my day that kills me. I have one car to wet sand and I can't drive it into the garage (too tall). I have another car where I need to adjust the timing and I can't do that because the roads are covered in salt. I need to ride 150+ miles a week and doing it on the trainer is as much fun as watching the grass grow. I'm just tired of being cooped up in my office, stuck behind a computer.

Put on some insulated undergarments, cycling tights and jacket, gloves, and toque under your helmet and get out on the roads you weenie. Burn-E
Ford's ad agency in India (JWT) produces some fairly shocking concepts to connect to a family auto brand especially in very conservative India. Let's just say the angle taken probably did not delight the client - if they ever even saw them - and represents the kind of juvenile images you might expect from an amusement park or street artist who does caricatures. Probably NWS http://www.leftlanenews.com/ford-apologizes-for-offensive-ads-in-india.html The story on ad age: http://adage.com/article/global-news/jwt-entered-sexually-offensive-ford-ads-india-awards-show/240562/ It's a funny angle, just not for the specific client or target country.
