My policy covers a rental car but shouldn't I ask that from his insurance/adjuster? That is a good point about reimbursed for the diminished resale value of the car. You figure that out by taking the car to a body shop you trust and ask them to assess the damage and provide an estimate for repairs. And you do that before you see the adjuster.
