mattsk8 Posted October 24, 2013 Report Share Posted October 24, 2013 We have a wood stove in our basement, nothing beats the radiant heat from that. So incredibly nice to go down there on an ice cold day, get a fire going and melt in the 80 degrees the wood stove will make it. Sometimes it gets too hot, a lot of times I'll have to open the door (even when its 10 degrees outside) and let some of that heat out. This winter I need to cut a huge hole in my cold air return right by the wood stove so I can just turn the furnace fan on and run that heat through the whole house. I used to love chopping piles and piles of wood during the fall, but no chance to do it out here. Perfect excuse to come to WA!
