mattsk8
Technology is nice Amen brother. I think about that video every time I drive my dad's 69 Cutlass. I also think about it whenever I read that the new, stupidly strict drunk driving laws are claimed for the reasons for less vehicle fatalities. Hhmmm.... Fudge_Brownie
I wonder if growing up in the eras of not wearing seatbelts, no armbags, and little crash protection, while having lax drunk driving laws/attitudes resulted in a very fearful voter base?Any one know of a problem that could be caused by leaving a car parked such that one tire is on top of a curb for ~2 weeks? A friend had a shop do this to their car and was asking me if it would have caused any damage. I said none that I could think of, besides any damage from getting it up the curb, or maybe a flatspotted tire. And that the tire will probably work itself out. Apparently several people, including an adjuster, gave the impression that was bad for the car.
mattsk8
Just a guess, not based on any proof... I wouldn't park my Volvo that way, I would think it wouldn't be good for the springs to be compressed/exhausted for that amount of time. I'd be more apt to do it w/ a truck. Mossback
I don't really agree with the forearm color code. Funny, my son's work (at the HQ in Seattle) has made it pretty clear that anyone with visible tattoos in work attire will most likely not be promoted beyond their current position. So tattoos are OK, just don't expect to go anywhere.

It seems that more and more of the incoming workforce wants to work for companies who don't have that "old" feel. It is associated with an outdated stuffy image. Burn-E
Alden, I think that really depends on what industries you work in and at what levels of the company you engage. Some youthful industries may not care. There's a whole list of industries where dress and body decoration standards are fairly strict and unlikely to change any time soon. I don't disagree that they should be covered. Dress shirts are long sleeve, so covering a arm tattoo shouldn't be a problem.
Burn-E
Yes, but when it's a Clydesdale it still can be fun.
