Fudge_Brownie
Is there such thing as too late to text like there it is too late to call? Or is it like an email, they'll get it when they wake up?
Aequitas_Veritas
I have had people get mad at me for texting too late. I didnt think it was an issue at the time, but now I try to avoid it.
theForgottenone
My phone goes to silent after 11pm automatic so it doesn't matter. ^^^^
quiksilver
I throw mine in airplane mode overnight because the battery life is terrible.
matt b
Mine is set to kick into night mode at 9 pm and revert to normal at 7 am. With the kids and me using it as my alarm, it's the only way to avoid the drunk text threads or clients who misread time zones. To answer your question Alden: yes. Some people still don't quite understand the concept of turning off their cell phone when they don't want to be disturbed.

I ask because I often realize I need to reply to a text at late hours. But I wait till the next day afraid of being that guy.

I sometimes forget to switch my phone to airplane at night, and then I'm woken up by drunk friends in the US who don't realize I'm 13 hours ahead. If you're running iOS7 or iOS 8, it's under settings--->Do not Disturb. You can set it up to come on manually or automatically.
andyb5
I just flip my phone to silent if I don't want to be disturbed. However, I'm a heavy sleeper so a few texts doesn't usually wake me up.

Timbo Slice
Mine is always in airplane mode, with calls from certain people (parents, sister, family) pushing through. I check my phone once in a while, but I find this to be the best way to stay off my phone.
Fudge_Brownie
By airplane mode do you mean silent? Or do not disturb? They are separate modes.
survolvo
My phone is automatically always in airplane mode. I only get service about once a week when I go into town.
