Fudge_Brownie Posted December 28, 2014 Report Share Posted December 28, 2014 Does an unplugged ect sensor stop the car from starting?I forgot to plug my ECT in once and cranked for a while unsuccessfully. I've always thought it prevented the car from starting, as a failsafe. But maybe that "knowledge" is based on my own single event. It did throw a code, in case you're trying to diagnose something. I agree with the sentiment though because if there's one thing I hate only marginally less than SEC football fans it's Big Ten football fans and especially fans of THE Ohio State. What an experience it was as a kid in Wilmington, DE where every other kid was either an Eagles or a Steelers fan. I rooted for the Cowboys because how could you resist cheering for Roger Staubach, Drew Pearson, Tony Dorsett, and Randy White? They're playing solid for a 3rd string QB. I have a feeling OSU is more discipline compare to FSU given who the head coach is. Another? He did wonders at FL, even if he allowed players to act like semi-Gods but he got wins which decided his career path. I personally would rather see 'Bama win again, I hated FSU b/c of their rapist of a QB but I'd like to see the Ducks win too. So basically, I'm a happy camper at this point.
