Piston Slapper
I can get over 30 on the highway in my N/A, I think I got 33 overall on the 2013 carlisle trip. Didn't keep track of it for '14.
mattsk8
I know the words good gas mileage and volvo and rarely used in the same sentence, but since I never really owned a stock 850 or x70 that had a complete stage 0, anyone getting close to at least 30 mpg on pure highway with one?Funny you should bring this up right now. ARD re-tuned my ECU, and I immediately noticed better mileage. My average mileage went from around 22 to 24. But I just drove it to West Virginia and back last weekend, and straight highway I got 29.5 on my first tank, 28 on my second, and 26.9 on my third. This was not being nice to it (not beating it either, just driving), I was driving between 85 and 65 mph with me and 2 other guys and all our crap in the car. That's crazy, better than my Acura TSX with a 4 cyl manual got on the highway. That's legit, no BS mileage too based on miles driven/gallons used. Burn-E
I would get 28-30 MPG on my non-tuned 98 S70 NA during Summer all highway trips. No offense to ARD but I don't think your highway miles were much improved if at all from stock. On another note, anyone watching Women's World Cup? NEU
I've only gotten a hiway best of 28mpg on stock tune and 3 people plus luggage in the car on a drive up to NYC one year average speed of 70mph. I've noticed recently since adjusting my WGA shorter, that I've gotten a bump in +1-2MPG.

The fact that I get any kind of respectable mileage is a HUGE bonus to me. Also bear in mind there were 3- 200 lb guys in the car, plus our bags and skate stuff. Wasn't trying to make any kind of statement or sell anything, basically just saying close to 30 mpg is definitely doable. Was a crazy weekend, my buddy broke (and dislocated) his ankle at Skatopia, which is in BFE on the Ohio/West Virginia border. He spent about 7 hours at the ER in Huntington WV Saturday, he's having surgery here tomorrow Edited June 8, 2015 by mattsk8

Kevin.
Have you read the jan 2015 motor trend article? They tested and biggest gripe on i3 is the handling performance of .8g lateral. Quite unconventional for bmw.i wonder those 2 Series owner must have lot of cash to shell out near $50k cars that don't have power seat, no navigation, Bluetooth, no backup camera. bluetooth and bluetooth audio is standard in every BMW since 2014/2015. A $50k 2 series will be pretty much loaded and will have all of the options you listed. I have been averaging 28.7 MPG for the last 4 tanks in my 850 turbo, granted I do 82 miles of commuting a day and almost all of it is highway Edited June 8, 2015 by Kevin. Tommy.
Instantly pictured Kevin schooling everyone on how good the i3 is. Still ugly as fuck and I would never drive it
