Yes.  First dyno session the car made 298whp (5900 rpm) /309tq (4000 rpm) using a target load system. On the dyno sheet and data log for it there is a huge boost drop from 4000-5300 rpm, consistent with all three pulls.  Apparently the TCV duty cycle was dropping to zero in that range from a LMR.5 error bit. Aaron removed the error bit so I went back to the dyno with the same tune.

Second session on the dyno the power and torque curve looked really good, but this time it only made 287whp (5900 rpm) /303tq (4000 rpm.) The air mass to load correlation changed with the error bit removed.  The stock load cap on this tune is being reached (12.24ms) because of this correlation change so a new base tune is being written to double the load cap, there is more work to do.  I'm paraphrasing from Aaron's emails as I understand about 20% of this .

When I street log the new tune from Aaron a bit and he does his refining, I'll go back to the dyno again and hopefully add another 20-30 whp/tq, which is what I believe this setup can put down.

I'll put all these logs and dynos in my build thread when the latest round of tuning is finished, and he car makes the numbers we are shooting for.

Awesome, thanks Erik. Really following your build closely.

strange to wake up to 8 inches of snow today when I swear I was just powerwashing my deck in 50 degree weather last night ..

This weird winter has been messing me up badly. On Wednesday it was around 16C (60F-ish) and then the next day, dropped down to -1C (30F-ish)... I'm feeling it in my bones and joints...... and every time the temperatures go way way above seasonal and I'm driving my car, I'm imagining my Michelin X-ice tires melting away like a stick of butter in a frying pan. v_v

I've been trying to keep tire pressures a little higher this winter for that reason. Hoping it reduces the flex, therefore keeps the rubber temps down. Coincidentally, I was talking someone who was doing the same, but running like 50psi. He said he isn't seeing any center wear patterns either. Not sure how long he's been trying it, but I got the impression he'd been doing it for a little while.

Hmmm, maybe I'll give that a shot. I've been tempted to just put on the all-seasons that my grandpa gave me but don't really want to risk it, especially with how unpredictable this weather has been.

Some 98 x70s had a single mass setup like the 850s, some had a dual mass setup.

It was my understanding that the 850 R pressure plate has a higher clamping force than the regular "turbo" clutch. I haven't seen anything definitive on that though. The NAs do have a different clutch/pressure plate (smaller diameter) than the turbo cars.
