gilber33
IDK I think wrestling the tranny on to the engine while the engine is in there would be a huge PIA. Yeah, I'm just going to pull it. I figure that you basically have to disconnect everything anyways to drop the subframe method, might as well save myself the hassle and just pull it out. At least this way I can install the turbo and everything while it's out of the car. ;)

Easy way is to drop driver side of subframe, pull out driver side strut, and the trans will slide right out the wheel well.

That's what I was thinking. But in order to do that you still have do the passenger side struts/brakes/axles, so I just figured if I'm doing all that, might as well just pull it from the top. Ugh, just one more hour of work, then I can get home and get to work on my car. Edited May 27, 2010 by gilber33

Slide it out? I struggled wrestling mine back on the engine for a while. I can't imagine trying to do that while having limited space. gilber33
I wanted to make a second pot of coffee to put in my mug for when I go down to work on my car, I didn't have enough Caribou Coffee grounds to do a whole pot and had to add some Foldgers vanilla to it. Yuck.

Hopefully today I can get the new ball seat on the shifter fork, engine back in the car and start putting it all back together.

I'm betting he's going to stick to that one. Too many conversations with him about he missed the AC one and ho this one is similar. I think he's going to like it. Fudge_Brownie
This might sound totally looney tunes, but for like the past 8 months, I've had a pretty constant vibration felt through the floor and steering wheel at idle, when backing down hills, and when coming to a stop. I figure one of the mounts needs replacing, I haven't gotten around to it. So I recently replaced my rear pads, which were gone. Not only does the car feel more balanced when braking, it seems to have eliminated half the vibration.
