T5power Posted July 25, 2010 Report Share Posted July 25, 2010 my other family car, 95 855 turbo, needed evap replacement, so i tackled that today. holy fuck. i hate 850 dashes. i feel like they're not as simple as x70 dashes. and of course after we buttoned everything up, none of the dash lights worked, turn signals didnt work, headlight switch had been reversed, no wipers, everything was fucked up. turns out the red switch under the dash wasnt properly seated. gave jack a call and i gave that a try, thank god it worked. and of course, the coolant clamps got fucked up se we had to get new heater core clamp thing. it was a nightmare :lol: i am so fucking tired. took us 11 hours. with an x70 dash i can get it out in 2 hours by myself. christ. some pics: bye byeeeee evaporator :lol: just thought i'd share. I mean it gets pretty warm and definitely humid but I love windows, I always have the windows open, it's just that there's those occasions that I really wish I had AC.
