matt b
Hey Pat, wanna go for a drink? I'm driving through Louisiana right now I thought we had talked about this whole drinking and driving thing and how it has been working out for you. Are you freakin' kidding me!? I've seen stupid disclaimers and warnings but come on!!! I just saw this on a BMW 5 series ad. Sad sad sad Grand-father was an orthopedic surgeon and did countless amputations over the course of his career for kids who'd done just that and lost a limb. It's apparently quite common (and was, before rear windows stopped coming all the way down)
Fudge_Brownie
Grand-father was an orthopedic surgeon and did countless amputations over the course of his career for kids who'd done just that and lost a limb. It's apparently quite common (and was, before rear windows stopped coming all the way down)I don't doubt it. But I'm wondering what they hit? I remember trying to see if I could touch weeds that reached towards the car as I rode down backroads and never could. They were always farther away than they looked. Drivers-side with oncoming cars who get too close?
matt b
In his case, there was a lot of tree branches and parked cars. But he was in France, so narrow streets and plenty of limbs on country roads.
survolvo
Bridge I have been working on in the canyon. Connects the trail to a really cool waterfall and swimming hole. It measures 42' end to end, its been been quite the feat. The one on the side is half of the old burnt down bridge (from the "Basin Fire" in '08), and a quick scaffolding job I did for access to the other side during construction.
BurgerBob
I hear firefighters in Cali can barely put a bridge fire out even when it's surrounded by water.
survolvo
Haha good one. Google "Basin Complex Fire". The bridge was the least of our concerns. Fortunately the bridge is all I have to build, others are still rebuilding their homes.
BurgerBob
"The Basin Complex Fire, which started on June 21, 2008 was declared 100% contained as of 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 27 2008, after having burned 162,818 acres." Dayum.
pdlarson
Grand-father was an orthopedic surgeon and did countless amputations over the course of his career for kids who'd done just that and lost a limb. It's apparently quite common (and was, before rear windows stopped coming all the way down) That sucks but how many kids did this safely that he didn't work on? When I was young, I had my arm out as often as I could. How often do things pass within a kids reach of a car. Seems slim chances to me. I saw a nice S70 GLT for sale and took a pic. Can I post that is FS just FYI or is that not cool? Caution, drinking water may cause you to urinate.

Can I post that is FS just FYI or is that not cool?If you're thinking of the "Group Buy and For Sale Feed" section, you won't be able to post in there without a supporting membership. And even then... I'd say unless you know the person, or it was something special... meh. I won't stop you, but I think you'll at least catch a few negative rep points. Regional third-party offerings all usually end up in the CraigsList thread in the R forum... so same problem there.
pdlarson
So dumb Q, where is the CL thread in the R forum? I looked around a bit and didn't see it. I had stumbled upon it once but can't remember where it's at. *Loser* ~ doesn't have an R :(
vmzoller
Have to be a supporting member to get access to the R Forum =/
pdlarson
So "the R forum" and v70r.com are not the same thing? I have not tried to post or even login to v70r.com but I've been able to browse. ~confused in Montana~
vmzoller
Nope, not the same. Once you have a supporting membership you'll see this: Hope that helps (:
BurgerBob
Stop telling members about the forum where I make fun of all the members who can't see that particular section of the forum.
Fudge_Brownie
Wait, he can't even see the link? I thought it was visible, but when you clicked it denied access? When did that change?
