I loved the '11 XT but the ex has it now. I like that car more than my R and just as much as I do the cR... My buddies' has '03 xt, that he has the sti trans in. He had a motor built for it and blew it. 10.5:1 cr and 5lbs of boost with a big turbo on e85 before it blew, cause the company that built it did the rings wrong and wouldn't warranty the work! So it's been sitting the last couple years till he could afford to have it done again.

Brad850
This may be the most terrifying video I've ever seen. It just gets worse and worse. Headphones on loud will give you an idea of what it really sounds like. This dude is a fucking psycho.

NEU
I've been in a storm in the Gulf of Mexico that was sea state 6 (20ft waves) on this thing. The Mighty Servant 3 which is a heavy lift ship. It was pretty bad, I was located on the main deck in a connex box for living quarters. Folks on the upper decks had it much worse as it's 7 stories up, furniture was rolling down the hallways. I ended up spending 3 days in my bunk and I get sea sick pretty bad, but never puked! I use an electronic sea sickness watch that I had cranked up on full power for the entire time. I've been in some bad storms but this was the worst! I was compounded by the fact that the Mighty Servant 3 had sank before and they had photos of it all over the place just as a reminder that the ship was under water... gmsgltr
those are meant to be semi-submersible right? I read about that ship once somewhere! Only experience I have... small diesel fishing boat in Gulf of Mexico with a non English speaking crew with some family members on a vacation in Cancun... I got out there just fine but then a small storm rolled by and we had 6-10 foot swells and I lost it. I wanted to give up and just jump off the boat. The worst part was I was 17ish and they said I could drink Corona's out there and I never even got one. I still to this day feel terrible about it because my Dad didn't get to fish at all and literally was holding my ankles while I was over the edge throwing up everything lol. ugh.
NEU
Yep, they are... They submerge to load payload. Oil rigs, ships, etc... I was part of a series of tests were we used them to load and unload Navy supply ships using LCACs (bottom two pix). And don't get me started on sea sickness! I've gotten sick in the Gulf of Mexico, off the coast of Norfolk, Key West, Panama City, Puget Sound, San Diego and the English Channel off of Normandy France... The worst was Normandy, our port was landlocked at low tide and I was stuck out there for 12hrs. It was so bad I puked everything out of my stomach and couldn't see straight and the next day I was still dizzy. I was shooting video and looking thru my view finder most of that day before it started, worst part about it I was on video joking about it before it happened...
gmsgltr
WOAH amazing pics... I have been fishing on lake Ontario a few times since that instance and took Dramamine pills and didn't have an issue. A combination of the diesel and the larger waves nearly killed me lol. So you were in the Navy and got sea sick... hmmmmmm :p Speaking of Navy... I just got home from a week long trip in San Diego. What a cool city and amazing Naval presence! Fudge_Brownie
That picture of the sunken boat is a different boat right? Did they sink one, then build an entirely different boat and rename it the exact same name, including the '3'? What am I missing? 13 hours ago, B850 said: This may be the most terrifying video I've ever seen. It just gets worse and worse. Headphones on loud will give you an idea of what it really sounds like. This dude is a fucking psycho. I bet that's his home. The wet suit is a good idea but I wonder what his plan was if he got tossed. If the storm is coming in, hope you're getting carried in that direction? Maybe the video doesn't do it justice, but it kinda reminds me of the sounds on the top of a mountain in a winter storm, or maybe some of the really bad nor'esters. I live near somewhat of a large cove, and I went down to the beach one time as a storm was rolling in. It was similar to his video where it's storm conditions but no rain. And I remember seeing this massive sail boat anchored in the middle, probably too deep a keel to risk getting any closer to an unfamiliar shore. And it was bouncing around like a toy boat in a bathtub. It was impressive, but damn nature, you scary.
Timbo Slice
Most marinas mandate that at the time of a large storm, residents with vessels docked in their slips must move their boats to protect the marina. I'm thinking that may be what's going on here as you can see a few other boats in that video doing pretty much the same thing.

He said he took the inflatable out there, so no slip, I forget the word but it seems more like one of those marinas which are really just a bunch of sailboats anchored in a such a way that they "prob won't" collide in the even of a storm. I believe that's a picture of his boat at the end (he does/did live in it), and he somehow made it back, but the boat didn't. If you read his comments it says he lost the boat, as in the front of it ripped off. Honestly it doesn't sound too impressive on laptop speakers... but if you listen with headphones/earbuds you'll realize how insane that was.
