I’ve never put my car up on them, but having worked on other cars on them, they’re plenty stable - more so than regular jackstands. If you’re buying a pair, the 12V model is apparently the best lift speed and you can power it from your car battery or even a jump pack if needed. They do come with riser blocks of different heights if you don’t want to lift your car directly with the jack “platform” on the pinch weld. any of those friends volvo friends? they lift their volvos from the pinch welds? Gabe those are nice jack stands - i have seen those around before and know of lots of great comments about them. Love your bmw!

With the rubber blocks I wouldn't be as worried about it (probably still wouldn't though). You can actually see in the one picture my BMW has reinforcements around the pinch weld that help support it. But I would be so hesitant to lift or support the 850 from the pinch welds. RobT5M
I've seen people use the pinch welds before, never understood why but hey some people like to live on the edge.
quiksilver
One of my best friends has quickjacks and I've borrowed them to do some work on my car. They're super simple and sturdy to use. Never felt like the car could move at all. However, I wished I had the car up on stands when installing my exhaust. Some of the pieces were a real pain to maneuver into place due to the quickjacks not lifting as high as my jack and stands do. I'd say they're a good buy for the majority of car projects. I don't know if I could personally ever get over the mental block that they look like they would tip over. 😬

Sold it to my mechanic for cheap. sad, but it was turning into a money pit and was beat to hell from the kids. not sure what I’ll grab next. Thinking of a new cross country. No rush have 3 other cars lol. Will have the WothRline tune for sale soon and a OMP strut bar.

Can we call him and tell him to finally remove that front grille emblem? 😂

flyfishing3
the Saffron is officially gone. Exchanged money the other day. Also spent last week golfing in Pinehurst. I am not good enough for a trip like that lol.
