phunktified
how bad? I have a clipped COP harness on a shelf somewhere... sorry to hear
Zappo
Not sure if there was something with the tune or not. It fried the 3 and 4 coil like a month ago. I thought I had it fixed, but the bad miss issue started again on the way to work on Tuesday. The harness wires to the coils were getting so hot they caught fire. I have a picture of the damage, but it wasn't that bad. Luckily I noticed the smoke coming out of the hood and put it out before it spread to write off the car. I have it half converted back to running the 4.3 ECU. I still have to change the injectors and install the stock coil. The car is actually sitting in front of Carson's house right now, but he lives close by and let me use the spot. I should have it running tomorrow if the coil plugs in and works. Zappo
It is mostly converted back right now, however the plug to the stock coil is missing some wires. I am sure there are 3 that it needs, but I am not sure what colors they are now. Anyone with an 850 could tell me the colors and the order, that would be very helpful. Thanks,
Zappo
Never mind, it lives again. A little wiring fix at the control module and it fired right up and idled correctly.

I think he's trying to say its on par with the bendgate stuff. Yes it's a problem, but not media-frenzy worthy. Each new iphone hardware has basically been a minor iteration on the previous: It is faster (latest-greatest CPU), thinner, lighter, better screen, better camera. Which isn't terrifically different from what Samsung or LG have been doing. And then there are software improvements in the OS, which are arguably a separate point. It's a good phone, but it's also a fashion accessory. And that's why its like when the latest Jordan's hit the shelf each time they reveal a new model. The issues raised with the new iPhone, such as durability concerns, might echo past controversies like "bendgate," but they’re not exactly media-frenzy material. Every year, iPhones continue their trend of incremental upgrades—better performance, sleeker design, improved cameras—much like Samsung or LG. However, iPhones are more than just smartphones; they are cultural icons and fashion statements, similar to the hype surrounding new Air Jordans.
