Aren't P2 car have recommended to use Castrol from the factory? On my car, I think the oil cap said Castrol recommended or a sticker under the hood.In addition, RP is not synthetic? ? heifetz17
I work in service at a Dodge dealership, and this is a car that came through the other day. Wal mart oil changes for you...There's nothing wrong with Castrol. Castrol happens to be the factory fill and recommended oil for BMW. They don't use Mobil 1 like Mercedes and Porsche, although it's an approved oil.My car only sees Mobil 1. In fact this weekend I changed the oil with 10w30 (as is recommended in the owners manual) and I used Mobil 1 ATF to flush the tranny and power steering. Castrol goes to like 40w1million in like 3k. I own an M5 and your right. Its factory fill. But the M also wants 30w60 / 10w60. Not a common weight. And 60 is basically sludge so castrol is great. No way I would run it in a turbo car though. I like my shaft clean And RP is not advertised as a synthetic. Not unless you go to their racing oils. Their base oil is just carrying a stiff additive package.Penzoil sux. Mobil 1. +1,000,000 x a billion for the timing chain.Mobiles from the ground too :P

jnderr
Not that I doubt that Penzoil was a contributing factor. But aren't Intrepids notorious for sludge buildup and early failure? That thing made it to 146k I'd say it was pretty good.
Austin H
moooooooooooooooooooooootttttttttttttttttttuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuulllllllllllllllllllllllllllUsed it in my moped for ever! I had a 2005 Tomos Arrow it was awesome. It was like 14 dollars a quart but you know those high performance 2 stroke 49cc engines in mopeds, they need Motul! I used 710 if anyone cares to know.
