after an hour on the phone they agreed to give me an emissions extension...I figure in howard county I might make it 1 mile before I get pulled over.

You know you'd get nailed on 103!

PCV system. Ended up taking all weekend, it was a total bitch. Yesterday, after putting everything back together, I went to top the coolant off, and turns out I forgot the 2 copper crush washers on the banjo fitting for the coolant line. :idiot: So I had to wait until this morning to go get the washers, and put it all back together. Then I started to drive to school, and got a CEL. Bawls.

I am about to do mine. What did you do wrong to make it take so long. I read maybe 8 hours max. I have things to do. It can't take more than a day.

In other news,

I installed my CAI this morning. Its amazing the differance. She really takes off now. Oh yea, and you gotta love the sound! Makes my dinky turbo sound beefy.

I just ordered the parts from FCP, should be coming in this week/early next week. I took friday next week off to tackle it. JVC and I did his at Gabe's house last winter and took 4ish hours.... Don't really remember the time due to the grandiose amount of beer we all drank

It's easier on an 850 than the s70 though from what I remember. It can take all fucking day for me. I'm gonna take my time and make sure all is good. Google PCV replacement and there are tons of different write-ups. This is my favorite. http://lakesidedp.com/uploadpics/pcv/

It'll be much easier on your 850 than on my 99 R.

Damn. What happened that it took all weekend?

I removed intake mani, injectors, etc late Friday night. I bought parts, and installed PCV system on Saturday afternoon. I also spent a few hours cleaning because there was dirt/oil/grime all over.

Sunday morning is when shit hit the fan, while trying to re-assemble everything else. It took me ~1 hour to get the PTC back into the post-maf pipe, then I spent at least 2 hours trying to get the banjo fitting for the PCV system under the intake mani on, and wasn't able to. So I had to remove the coolant lines+PCV line from the banjo fitting bracket thing, install that on the intake manifold, then connect those hoses.

Then I went to refill my coolant only to find that coolant was slowly leaking out from the banjo fitting on the drivers side of the engine block. Turns out 1 copper crush washer fell off while I was installing the bolt, so I had to wait until Tasca opened up on Monday morning to get the crush washer and reassemble everything.

If I had to do it over, it'd take me ~5-6 hours or so, working at a reasonable pace. :idiot:

Well I've taken some notes so maybe I'll get it. I know its probably one of those things that seems like a PITA but once you start getting dirty, it all comes together. I'll take some time to clean things up too. I also installed a catch can. Waiting to plumb it in. Shouldn't take that much longer for that.

I'm telling you. This is the way to do it.
