It's not too difficult. As goldponcho described, there's not much involved in terms of unplugging/unscrewing. The main thing is to be careful, because all of the plastic attached to the dash is so old and brittle and it's easy to break something if you go too quickly. I've done this job by myself a number of times, but it definitely is easier if you have someone to help you navigate the dash out of/into the car.

Nothing special, whatever they sell at the local arts and crafts store. It's held up fine on my other 850.

You don't have to remove the center console btw. See my pic above.

Good deal. I bought felt padding from the local crafts store as well, and that stuff is great. I am still looking for some kind of foam wrap to put over wire harnesses. I have a laundry list of things to do once I rip out my dash again (4th time), this time replacing the evap.

Wifes.

Drove it home from Tom.

Mine.

Hugged it because I missed its black leathery goodness and larger turbo and better handling and better turn radius and better over all everything.

Although I will say...

16t + 2.4 is very fun.

I drove that car and it was pretty quick!

Finished putting everything back together after installing NA cams.

Still on jack stands though, sitting even higher now. Next up: oil pan o-rings. Kicking my self in the ass because I really should have waited for them to arrive when I had the engine out of the car.

You scratched it all up with the "magic foaming brush" at the local coin-op?

hopefully he didn't use the brush, but just hand applied the foam that comes out of the brush... always worries me that people think that brush is clean enough to run all over their paint.

Yeah the foaming brush people use to scrub their pick up beds and undersides of their cars with..haha. I hate coin op car washes

If you HAVE to use it, spend 3 quarters pressure washing it first to get the dirt and grime out of it. But 99% of the time, it will still scratch your paint.

Dragos, Volvo sells a tool to wash your car, I'm surprised you haven't bought it yet.
