My wife, her sister and another woman down there run this dog rescue, Barktown, don't know if you've heard of it. Anyhow, there was one event 2 weeks ago that we went down for.....had to do with some sort of commercial for a local vet. This time the rescue is holding this large event in which they'll be doing adoptions, spay/neuter (sp?), vaccines, etc. for far less than normal price. That's the primary reason for going down. The good thing about the trips are that my wife's sister's family live down there. Her husband took a job offer and went to American Fuji Seal from INX. Fuji Seal moved them down to KY and set aside a few weeks for them to find a house. That was a few years ago, we don't get to see them very often. The kids like it too, last time I got stuck watching Avatar cuddling with two little kids. Anyhow, that's the jist of it. Their goal is to remove as many as they can from shelters that they feel could be adopted so they do not get put to sleep. They actually move quite a few dogs, it's a pretty successful thing. Moonshine runs? No moonshine in KY, just LOTS of light beer. My guess is it was low You know your supposed to check these things when you fill up. It also helps pass the time when filling up.
