this photo would be incorrect if the the drawing that is posted is correct

that photo is correct, you have to look at the angle of the oil trap in all of the pictures, sometimes it creates an optical illusion to where the hoses really are going

I agree. The photos and the pictures all match - what's important is that the port closest to the timing cover is going to the cyl. head vent, regardless of the offset of the two ports.

One tip I have is i had a problem aligning the bottom intake bolt (12mm).

I found it easier to loosen the top bolt of the bracket so that the bracket would move around. Once i put in the manifold bolts in i was able to alight the bracket correctly. I then used a closed end wrench to tighten the bracket bolt and the bold the the manifold.

I also found it fairly easy to find the lower manifold bolt and oil dipstick with my hand once I unplugged everything from the throttle body.

I did not remove the intake manifold either.

phwew. I'm ok then. I figured I would've made sure it was the same as stock before installing, but its been a few months so I paniced. I just pulled the fuel rail cover and look down in to confirm. It's the same as the drawing.

Whats pissing me off, is I still have leaking oil from the filler cap and just replaced the gasket 2 oil changes ago!

Buy a whole new cap and problem should be solved. If the cap is old/worn sometimes the new gasket will leak.

nah - bought a new cap 3 oil changes back.

the dealership changed the gasket every oil change with the original owner.

is that SOP?

are you supposed to have to change the gasket EVERY oil change?

seems nuts. never seen that on any other vehicle.

I know...the extra WHOLE dollar that the seal costs really adds up

I personally dont change mine every oil change...but I also dont have a leaking problem ;)

psht. not complaining about the $$ dumbass....it's the fact that they couldn't make it seal like all other engines?

besides.....never seen the gaskets for just $1 around here! :D

Sounds like someone doesnt know where to look dumbass...Click the "dumbass" link ;)

i resent that remark.... :)

I think I'll order a dozen then - perhaps I'll try putting several on at once seeing as though I'm such a "dumbass"...dumass.

(I really ordered 10 since its not much of a difference in price w/ shipping)

I think I'll add a thin coat of oring grease next time...I hesitate to bend the tabs on the cap as I've read it recommended before....mainly due to the fact that I'm afraid it'll start seaping somewhere less friendly....like the RMS
