Che'_Moderator
How dare you say that? These words would only come out of the mouth of a bigoted, racist bastard. It's George Bush's fault. He doesn't like black people. Him and all his buddies in the oil industry should pay up because they are the ones who caused Katrina from the climate change due to their footprint left on the environment. The only reason they let Katrina happen was to get Halliburton in there to rebuild so they could steal even more money from the working-class.They come out of the mouth of someone who was over there helping the clean up effort. All those people can burn in hell for being stupid. How dumb are you not to leave? Ho dumb are you not to fill jugs with water. How dumb are you not to be able to make your own fresh water when you have a whole city of supplies to loot. How dumb are you not to take the 80k+ tax free jobs available to clean up your own freaken house/shack. The people suing were bottle top tap dancing grifters before the storm and the only thing different now is they have a new suit and an ambulance chasing attorney. TBM
America: Where you can sue anyone for anything. LOL! BTW, have you guys heard of that story where a thief robbed someone's house and while robbing the house, he tripped, fell and broke his ankle (or something). He sued the resident who left the toy there and WON! Hello??? That has got to be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard!

TBM
Thats why in Florida we shoot people who break into our houses.Interesting...that is completely legal? If it is, then I have a question which maybe you may answer. If it's legal for residents to shoot trespassers, then wouldn't there be a drawback to that? For example, if someone wanted to commit murder of someone close, all he/she had to do was invite that person over to his/her house and then shoot him. When the police arrive, all he/she has to say is that this person was unwanted and was trespassing. Right?

Right?I'm sure there is intended purpose and relationship between the two people that the police can figure out.The law above would apply to mostly to those you don't know and actually trying to trespass your property. Obviously he would do this carefully, maybe by first making friends, etc, etc.

In fact im sure they question it every time it happens, and especially if it happens more then once.

Castle doctrine does not extend into the yard, at least in Florida. But playing devils advocate if say your neighbor is outside and he can confirm you did indeed ask the trespasser to leave then you would be in the right by law. In the house its different. You can just shoot them and say you felt threatened. You just better make sure they do not find calls from your house the person you killed. As for serial killers its not personal enough. Why would they just want to shoot someone and call the police right away. In short "dead mean tell no tales" in florida.
TM850R
Well, I know who's house I wont step foot in. Castle doctrine is a great thing IMO. Why make it easier for criminals when someone is able to protect their own property.

prasamin
Fucking morons.Just shows you that we should have sprayed pesticides over all of New Orleans before there was even the threat of Katrina there.Okay, pesticides over Canada too, but that's too easy, so we can save it for later. How do you "let" a Hurricane happen?I did what I could to help and in fact Houston did more than its fair share, and the city (Houston) has never been the same. Che is right, it is a cycle of self-defeat. The impoverished wards were near collapse before the Hurricane, with a majority of residents living far below the poverty line. Many of the residents were already being supported through various welfare and government aid programs because they lacked the education and skills neccesary to become productive contributing members of society. After the devestation they are supposed to pick thesleves up by the bootstraps and suddenly help themselves? I don't think that is realistic (even though it is the right answer). The problem started well before Katrina. It is hard to stop sucking from the proverbial teet, when it is all you have ever know.

JMK33
Why? If my nephew sends a Wiimote through my 52" Bravia, I can break into Best Buy and take one? There is not a single argument which can justify looting and rioting. A porch-monkey wheeling 17 pairs or Air Jordans in a shopping cart is not doing so because his illegitimate children's shoes are all gone. It's purely mob behavior, and they would act like that every single day if they knew they would not suffer a consequence.
